In your attempt to “help everyone” are you being greedy? Are you failing the very people that you are meant to serve? It’s not just about marketing, or money, it’s about reaching the people who need you, serving them better and getting more business and making more money because of it!

  • Great vlog Heather O! You're making me think... hmmmm. Thank you! I've got to figure out my niche! Yes!! It might even be a life coach specializing in health, fitness & wellness! I'm certainly passionate about it & have had great success & used to be a certified personal trainer. Wow - that could really be interesting! You're awesome! Have a beautiful week! Hope you've been well!

    Love & Abundance,

    Wonderful information Heather.

I am torn between my niche -- women whose lives have been devastated (no matter how or why) to understand they have infinite potential and can BE, DO or HAVE their dreams come true -- even after this devastation.

At the same time I offer Think & Grow Rich mastermind studies designed by LifeSuccess (Bob Proctor and Paul Martinelli) for everyone and anyone who really wants change -- people who instinctively know there is more for them in this life.
  • Thank you both for your comments!
Having a niche doesn't mean you can't do more than one thing, it only begs you to choose one thing to focus on. It also doesn't mean that you can't have a different focus in the future.
    Ask yourself these questions:
What can I be the very best in the (or at least "YOUR") world at?
What can you do unlike and better than anyone else?
Right now (today) what gets you the most "juiced"?
    What excites you the most?
If you had only today, and you could choose what you would do, and with whom, what would it be?

(Maybe it's helping women overcome traumatic life events, and you DO this by using (& perhaps building upon) the foundational principles of TGAR?)
  • Heather, your point is well taken. For another real world example - in 2006 Technorati was tracking 57 million blogs. Think of what it has grown to now! That's a lot of competition. To stand out in that crowd it is necessary to be laser focused on specific topic - a niche. The same goes in business...the competition is just as fierce. Take also the example of Dominoes Pizza. Early on it grew its business and brand not by marketing that they made the best pizza, had great crust, best sauce etc.... No, they focusing solely on Fast Delivery and grew very large from there.

Great stuff! I totally agree, finding my niche has been amazing for my business. Having a niche makes it easy to focus in on your advertising and networking.
